I got some new spoons (that’s the title – I’d like to say I remembered some Russian from college, but ’twas not so) from a Russian Etsy shop called Kazinskiy Wood Craft in today. I purchased the two apple eating spoons with (what I assume is) milk paint, and the artisan, Sergey, was kind enough to throw in the apple ice cream spoon (it will probably end up being a spoon for one or more of my kids) as a gift. Shipping from Russia was very quick: I ordered them late on the 14th of this month, and they came in today. Not bad at all.
Here are some photos:
I haven’t used any of them yet, but I really like the shapes, the craftsmanship, and the handwritten notes. If you’re looking for hand-carved spoons from beautiful hardwoods, check out what Sergey has to offer. Thanks for the spoons, and for your generosity, Sergey!
